Thunderbirds Soar: Seven Fraser Valley Players Selected for U16 BC Cup
The Fraser Valley Thunderbirds are proud to announce that seven of their players from the 2025–26 season have been selected to compete at the U16 BC Cup. Dominic Clark, Benjamin Edvinsson, Aaron McCann, James Moore, Markus Milin, Linden McRae, and Noah Carignan have all earned this opportunity following a strong season representing the Thunderbirds program.
Their selection is a reflection of both individual dedication and the team-first culture developed within the Thunderbirds organization. Throughout the season, these athletes consistently demonstrated skill, work ethic, and a commitment to development, making them stand out through the evaluation process.
The U16 BC Cup is part of BC Hockey’s Men’s Program of Excellence (POE), which emphasizes player development through a structured pathway that includes U15 and U16 Identification (ID) Camps. Operated in partnership with the BC AAA Leagues and the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL), these camps bring together top players from across the province. Selection to the BC Cup is based on performances at these camps, along with ongoing evaluations throughout the season.
The tournament will take place in Salmon Arm from April 16–19, where eight teams will compete at an elite level. The Thunderbirds are also proud to have coaches Ralph Vos Jr., Andy Stewart, and Bronson Sharp attending the event, continuing their commitment to supporting athlete development at the highest levels.
The Fraser Valley Thunderbirds organization congratulates all seven players and coaches on this achievement and looks forward to watching them represent the program with pride at the BC Cup.
